The series of incidents involving the former Yozakura heads turn out to part of Momo's plot to resurrect his beloved wife, Rei. As he whispers about his twisted love for his family, Momo vanishes from Mutsumi and the others' sight. Meanwhile, Kyoichiro, who was saved by Taiyo's Profuse Blooming of 10,000 Flowers, returns home to his siblings. The touching reunion is short-lived, as in order to make him reflect after trying to sacrifice himself to protect the family, a "Day of Family Service" begins! What lies in store for Kyoichiro is his siblings' merciless requests... Just then, a message arrives for Mutsumi.

Under Mutsumi's orders, Kyoichiro and Taiyo pursue the fleeing Momo. Taiyo manages to land a punch on Momo once, but the gap in abilities between himself and Momo, who can hold his own against Kyoichiro, is all too clear, and he's left on the defensive. On top of that, numerous Dark Cherries - creatures birthed by Tsubomi, which feed on humans as nutrients - appear, blocking the way. Taiyo launches another attack, but he falls just short, letting Momo get away. Kyoichiro destroys the Dark Cherries, and is about to take Taiyo back with him to Mutsumi, when he's suddenly summoned by the chairman of the Spy Association, Kai Izumo...

Taiyo and the others learn that the Spy Association HQ has been rigged with bombs. They have less than an hour before they explode! They must stop them, or the ensuing drastic accident will involve legitimate society as well. The intruders have the ability to shape-shift into staff members or spies, and led by Kai, the Gold Rank spies split up to search inside the HQ. Taiyo, along with Ryu and Shinzo, visit the Training Wing, where the children living at the HQ are hard at work. The kids come running when they see Ryu, and soon they're having a lively conversation, but... ?!

Futaba and Shinzo have vanished from the Yozakuras’ sight. To get their abducted siblings back, Mutsumi and the others regroup, but Futaba and Shinzo’s inexplicable actions have left them visibly upset. Then one day, Shion sends Taiyo on an errand to the Gaon Mall with Kengo. But Taiyo and Kengo soon find themselves surrounded by spies whose simmering resentment towards the Yozakura family is nearing the boiling point, thanks to Momo!
